Senior UX researcher – SEMrush

The UX team seeks to understand users‘ and prospective users’ behavior through quantitative and qualitative methods. A successful UX researcher will deliver insights that help define strategy and improve decision making within the business. You can create the product research group to help our product, design and marketing teams build experiences that delight users and grow our business internationally. Semrush is the best SEO tool which is highly recommended by most SEO gurus, and the product research team will play a critical role in how we innovate the experience for users worldwide.

 

The ideal candidate will have proven skills and experience in qualitative and mixed research methods. You are a self-directed strategic thinker and you know how to discover, interpret, and communicate user insights in a fast-paced and scrappy environment.


Where you can make an impact:

  • Manage large research initiatives from beginning to end: identify, plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand our users and their needs, identify product improvements, and discover new opportunities.

  • Define, execute, analyze and interpret primary user experience and qualitative research globally.

  • Partner with product, engineering, design, market research, analytics, and business leads throughout the research and design process.

  • Employ a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, in the lab, remotely, and in the field.

  • Evangelize user experience research and user-centered design throughout the company.

  • Analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable insights and communicate to key stakeholders.

  • Package insights into design tools and assets for the product owners and designers to leverage (i.e. personas, design principles, scenarios, frameworks, etc.).

What it takes to catch our eye:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience on products.

  • Experience with a product/software company is a big advantage!

  • Have a track record of discovering, synthesizing, and socializing actionable insights that have influenced real products.

  • Expert in qualitative User Experience Research methods; familiarity with quantitative research methods(e.g. contextual inquiry, usability testing, interviews, surveys, observation, data analysis, statistics)

  • Experience working in Agile software development process

  • Ability to develop and present research results with cross-functional team for review and feedback

  • Experience with online remote research tools (e.g. UserZoom, UserTesting.com, Optimal Workshop)

  • Clearly, concisely, and persuasively communicate research findings.

  • End-to-end experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting).
